2018s
A big 'thank you' to all those many people from near and far who visited our allotments on the weekend of 7 & 8 July 2018 when they were open under the National Gardens Scheme. We enjoyed wonderful sunny weather and it was a pleasure to show what we have achieved to both fellow gardeners and non-gardeners alike.
An equally big 'thank you' is also due to all those individuals who worked so hard to get their plots looking beautiful despite the unrelenting drought in the weeks beforehand; to those who came and helped at the stall; and to those who helped on the gate. Thanks also to the all those plotholders who enthusiastically met and welcomed our many visitors and to those who raided their own plots for vegetables and fruit to keep up the supply of produce available at the marquee!!
Over the weekend we were delighted to welcome more than 440 visitors and we took more than £1200 on the gate which goes to the NGS charities. We also received over £800 in the marquee for Beaumaris Lifeboat and this included a very generous donation from the Happy Valley cafe.
